Tube, Pipe & Section Bending

This process category encompasses a group of processes that are used to process stock materials of continuous cross section, such as tube, pipe, wire or strip.

In the processing of these forms, Tube, Pipe & Section Bending involves the bending of the stock material to create 3 Dimensional forms.

Bending is achieved primarily through bending the tube, pipe or section around a linear axis. This is achieved in most cases through the rotary action of rollers and dies, however in some cases materials are pressed at a single point to achieve bending as with Tube & Section Press Bending.

These processes are often used in combination with Tube & Section Swaging processes used to impart shape into the ends of the Tube, Pipe or section such as flared or crimped ends used in many cases to aid assembly of multiple bent tubes, pipes or sections.
