Processing of metal strip to form intricate components by simultaneously feeding, pressing and in some cases welding the component whilst located within a single machine.

Machinery is referred to as multi-slide, although springs and clips can be made at volume in this way, it is also possible to manufacture intricate clips and springs using progressive pressing processes - see "Progressive Die Forming".
