CNC Flame Cutting

This process entails the cutting of plate, tube, pipe and section using a concentrated flame that is CNC controlled – machines may be multi-head for increased production rate or just a single flame cutting head.

The methodology for the process is; the metal is heated up using the concentrated flame until molten, where a pressurised air line is used to blow away the molten metal, creating the cut.

The technology can be applied in a simple 2D manner, for creation of basic 2 dimensional profiles from plate materials. In more advanced arrangements application of a 3rd and in some cases 4th axis means 3D shapes can be cut, with both straight and angled edges.
