shaping-manufacturing-processes > Tube & Section Flame Cutting

This process involves the cutting of pipe, tube or section utilising a concentrated flame - a rotational axis allows access to all sides of the tube or section in one process cycle (as the Pipe, tube or section is rotated).

Machines are multi-axis, allowing the creation of fish mouths, mitre cuts and other complex forms.

This process also includes those machines with tilting heads to perform angular cuts to the section surface, for example for weld preparation, or flush fitting with other profiles, in that sense this is true "3 Dimensional Flame Cutting".
