Deburring

Deburring is a finishing method used to remove burrs, sharp edges and any other unwanted imperfections from a component that have been produced by a machining process.

This process is necessary to reduce the risk of injury to anyone handling the components. Additionally, any burrs present on the component may interrupt further manufacturing or assembly processes, causing delays in the process.

Deburring is a necessary operation that needs to be carried out on a range of materials that have been machined, including metals, wood, plastics and composites.

The types of Deburring covered in this section include:

• Vibratory & Tumble Deburring
• Electrochemical Deburring
• Abrasive Flow Deburring
