Abrasive Flow Deburring is a precision finishing technique which removes burrs and sharp edges from a component.

The process works by clamping the component between two hydraulic cylinders and passing a viscous abrasive back and forth between the cylinders. The abrasive media wears away any defects and burrs on the component and produces a ground surface finish.

Abrasive Flow Deburring produces repeatable results of a very high quality. This process is exceptionally good at deburring contoured surfaces and internal surfaces which may be very difficult to reach using other processes.

This process can be used within the aerospace and automotive industries, for producing highly sensitive medical equipment and specialist tools and dies.
