This area covers the range of Polishing techniques available to improve the surface finish of a component. The methods included range from manual to automated polishing processes.

Polishing is performed to create a smoother surface finish on components. This improves its mechanical properties and provides it with a more decorative appearance. Parts can be polished on either an individual basis, or in large quantities, depending on the process selected.
