Cleaning & Deburring

This section encompasses the range of general processes which are used to Clean and Deburr components in the manufacturing environment.

Cleaning is an important process to remove any contaminants or debris from a component. This is vital in preparing the component for further manufacturing processes, such as further finishing processes such as Anodising or Plating. Deburring is necessary to remove any defects or sharp edges which may have occurred during machining processes. This ensures that any further assembly of components isn’t hindered and prevents potential injury to operators or the end user.
