Plate Rolling
The Plate Rolling process encompasses the processing of plate metal, typically greater than 6mm in thickness to create curved forms by applying pressure through rollers. The stock metal plate is fed into the rollers which are rotated whilst applying pressure.
Metal Plate is typically fed between a set of rollers, resulting in a curved form.
The process is used to produce cylindrical and conical forms.
Similar forms can be achieved using "Plate Bending & Press Braking", however this is a lot more labour intensive as it requires multiple "bends" applied across the surface of the Stock Metal Plate.
