Agriculture - pretty much anything!
Scale models for Kite projects
Kite projects make some properly big stuff - as specialists in safety and access such as stairways for rail networks their normal approach to demo involves a rather large trailer. They approached Printastique to make some accurate, detailed and much more portable versions of several of their systems, so we did just that!
The result, working from their actual CAD models were 250mm cubed lightweight but hardy models, hand detailed and complete with graded landscaping and water courses to demonstrate their core construction methods - all supplied with their own stackable protective cases.
Ariana - commercial marine parts
Designed from scratch from supplied dimensions, rugged pool edge support designed to withstand both the marine environment and the weight of several people. CAD, prototype and test printed in less than a week, with the full 16 units supplied within 7 days post approval.
Latent Drive - bombproof prototype parts
Prototype parts for the Latest Drive Sea Stack technology - after the previous models were destroyed by the baggage team, Printastique dialed it up a notch for accurate parts that were printed to last. Our testing methods were unorthodox, but well received.
Reverse engineered parts - Northwest Hardware
Designing from real parts - some brokenm, some out of manufacture for cost-effective, quick turnaround reaplacements on several products in an ongoing relationship.
Heatric/Meggit - Display Model
Heatric approached Printastique to deliver an accurate and rugged but lightweight version of an extreemly pressure vessel for exhibition purposes.
At over 1m high the model was printed in sections before being professionally painted and lacquered for a beautiful finish, and only 4kg total weight.
Prototype iteration for Celcus Group
Light and fast prototype iteration and testing for Celcus group - from an initial wood mockup which was arduos and costly to create, refining over several rounds for the perfect result. The finished product is still printed in low volumes as an when in colours of their choice.
Marc Lohez
I'm a get things done guy, with over 15 years awarded agency and 20 years design freelance experience in graphuc design, spanning the more creative concept/ideation and branding side as well as full artwork and prepress from local startups to multinationals, in niche markets including automotive and defence.
Since 2022 I've been diving deep into progressively more rapid prototyping and 3D design for commercial 3D printing which is becoming large and growing part of my business as I persue more B2B relations in additive manufacture.
I'm super excited to introduce 3DP to more traditional companies looking to turbo boost their iteration and protoype costs and make it as easy and cost effective as possible, top be used as an inhouse service.
