shaping-manufacturing-processes > Laser Micro Machining
This process uses a laser, which deposits finite amount of energy into a material, this incrementally removes material from the surface of a material (unlike Micro Laser Cutting, where material is removed through the entire material thickness). The results in an extremely precise and reproducible material removal.
Laser Micro Machining can be performed on a wide range of materials, conventionally applied in the microelectronics industry. However, it can be applied for surface texturing of many materials.
