Jig Boring is performed on a dedicated state of the art Jig Boring machine. The machine looks very similar to a Vertical Mill however it is specifically designed to accurately place holes on a workpiece.

Jig Boring is used to enlarge holes, imparting high levels of accuracy across multiple holes. Usually, holes are machined using regular mills and lathes and then finished with the Boring operation.

The process can be used to manufacture small quantities or large batches.
