Twin Sheet Forming is a unique forming process, it is used to create a totally hollow, 3 dimensional part.  

The process is technically challenging but follows the same principles of other Thermoforming processes. However, a sheet of plastic is placed on a top mould and a bottom mould, the sheets are heated simultaneously, when the correct pliability is achieved, pressure or a vacuum is used to form the two sheets, respectively, against the top and bottom of the mould. The Moulds are then move together to fuse the two sheets, at the edges.
