moulding-additive-manufacture > Extrusion Blow Moulding
This process involves the extrusion of a hollow tube of hot plastic, followed by the enclosure of the preform in a mould cavity. Once enclosed the preform is expanded against the walls of the mould cavity using internal pressure.
The hot plastic preform can be made of multiple layers and can have differing material composition along its length.
Relatively complex forms can be created, including intricate details such as internal and external threads.
However, "Injection Stretch Blow Moulding may be a better process if threads are a primary feature in your design.
