Manual flame brazing involves the use of heat, which is supplied by a hand held torch, and the manual feeding of brazing filler metal into the required joint area.

Introduction of the filler material, flux and heat is all done manually (hand held).

It can be a very quick and flexible process, minimising stress in the base material as temperatures are lower than welding.
