joining-manufacturing-processes > Atmosphere Furnace Brazing

This process encompasses the application of Filler Metal in the form of a paste, applied to required joint areas and the heating of those components in a controlled gaseous Atmosphere.

The heating causes the filler metal to flow from the thick paste, creating a fully brazed joint by capillary action.

Production may take place in batches, as with Vacuum Brazing, or, more commonly this process is performed in a hump back, or Continuous Belt Furnace.

This process category includes all types of controlled gaseous atmospheres, and all production arrangements.
