inspection-and-assembly-manufacturing-processes > Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Testing
This section encompasses Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Testing and presents the various methods available to prevent damage to electronic equipment.
ESD occurs when a sudden electric current flows between two objects at different electrical potentials. Tests are conducted on electrical systems to ensure they meet the correct testing standards for their application.
ESD Testing can be done on individual devices up to full systems. There are a variety of test methods available which include HBM (Human Body Model) and MM (Machine Model) testing.
