Shot Blasting is an Abrasive Blasting technique which uses small abrasive media known as shot to clean the surface of a component.

This process is typically used for removing paint or rust from components, as well as performing a deburring operation. Additionally, Shot Blasting is useful in preparing metal components for further finishing processes such as Painting or Powder Coating, as it removes surface contaminants and can provide a surface texture which increases adhesion for the coating.

Shot Blasting is used in most industries where metal components are utilised. Some of these applications include automotive, aerospace, construction, ship building and rail.
