Screen Printing is a process where ink is pressed through a stencilled design to create a printed design on a flat surface.
The process, also known as Serigraphy or Silk Screen Printing, is a popular technique used in a range of industries. While the process is most commonly known for printing on clothing or fabrics, the process can be adapted with specialised ink to use the process to print on wood, metal, plastic and glass.
Screen Printing is good for producing large quantities of custom prints, as the stencil used in the process can be re-used repeatedly. Additionally, the colours produced through Screen Printing are very intense, making them stand out well. However, due to the complexity of the process, there are a limited number of colours which can be used per print, and each colour must be applied to the surface individually.
