Nickel Plating
This group of processes covers the two main ways in which Nickel can be plated onto a component: Nickel Electroplating and Electroless Nickel Plating.
Electroless Nickel Plating provides a more uniform thickness and is better suited for small and complex components. However, it is typically performed with a Nickel-Alloy, where the Nickel content is upwards of 85%. Nickel Electroplating is typically used when there is only a trace amount of other elements combined with the pure Nickel.
Nickel Plating offers a decorative appearance while improving corrosion resistance among other properties.
