Flexography, also known as Flexographic Printing or Flexo Printing, is a relief printing technique where ink is transferred to a substrate via a printing plate with raised areas.

The process offers extremely high printing speeds (faster than gravure) and has the ability to print on a range of substrates, including plastic, fabric, metallic film and corrugated cardboard. However, when compared with gravure, the print quality and intensity of the colour is not as good.

The plates used for Flexography are cheaper than Gravure, and if cared for correctly, can last for a large number of prints. Flexography is generally suited for high volume requirements and is typically used to print continuous patterns such as wallpaper or wrapping paper.
