Bead Blasting is an Abrasive Blasting process where small spheres, typically made of glass, are fired against the surface of a component to remove all impurities and provide an even finish.

This process is relatively inexpensive and efficient. When glass is used as the media for Bead Blasting, they are low cost to produce and can be reused approximately 30 times.

Utilising smaller, rounder beads will provide a smoother and more gentle finish, whereas larger beads with sharper edges can be used to produce a more textured finish.

While Glass Bead Blasting is the most popular variant, other media can be used, including stainless steel and silicon carbide beads.
